West Moors possesses one of the best lawn and short mat bowls club in Dorset.   It is the largest in the area with an overall membership of over 270 members.   It is located at the rear of the Memorial Hall.   Membership is open to all residents of West Moors over the age of 12.  New members are welcome and there are full coaching arrangements for beginners.  

The modern pavilion is used by members for Short Mat bowling during the Autumn/Winter months and for a comprehensive programme of social events for members and friends.  

During the summer, there is a range of playing opportunities to suit all members.   For the more competitive players there are club championship games and league games, playing teams from Bournemouth District, Dorset and the New Forest.   For those more interested in social bowls, there is a full programme of friendly matches normally played on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons and two informal afternoons/evenings weekly where all members can meet and play.

The Club has for many years had equal membership for men and women and each have their own league teams.   There are also many mixed games scheduled during the season.

The club is particularly attractive to those persons, perhaps with bowling experience elsewhere, moving into West Moors who are looking to make new friends and acquaintances.
