WEST MOORS CRICKET CLUB

West Moors Cricket Club (WMCC) at present are running one cricket team who play on a Saturday in the Hampshire Cricket League, Regional Division 3, South West representing West Moors Village.  WMCC aim to run two teams for the forthcoming season 2008 and are looking for new members to help the club achieve this ambition.

WMCC play at Fryer Playing Field in West Moors and would welcome any future players to pop down when we are playing on Saturdays from 2.00pm onwards and introduce themselves to any club member.

On Sat 25th Aug West Moors Cricket Club (WMCC) played their last Hampshire South West Division 3 league match of the season at home to Bashley and Rydal who were top of the league of 18 teams, WMCC were 5th.  WMCC batted first and were bowled out for 135, not one of our better batting performances, but our bowlers and fielding was very good and WMCC bowled out Bashley and Rydal for 54 runs to record a convincing win and a good performance from everyone in the team. 

This win means that WMCC remained 5th in the league and with the restructuring of the Hampshire leagues, WMCC have a great chance of being promoted to South West Division 2 next season.
