west moors memorial hall
The West Moors Memorial hall was built in 1929 and is held under a deed as a public charitable trust for the purpose of a village hall and is for the use of the inhabitants of West Moors and the immediate vicinity. It is dedicated to the memory of those who fell in the first World War.
The hall is run by a hall council comprised of three Trustees and representatives from the regular users.
The Memorial hall is situated in the heart
of the village; it is centrally heated and is already used for a variety of
regular functions, all year round.

The Memorial hall consists of three areas - the main hall which can be used as a meeting room, function room for presentations/ parties/ receptions or, stage productions. The hall has it's own stage with full stage lighting and audio systems with inductive loop hearing. A licence for the sale of alcohol and a connecting counter with the adjoining social club means that full bar facilities are available, if required.
In addition, there is a well equipped kitchen which can be used for preparing buffet foods and hot drinks, as well as heating food in the oven.
The main hall has a separate small hall which can be used for a meeting or small functions.
Finally, the Memorial hall also has disabled toilet facilities which incorporate a baby changing unit.
The site also benefits from a large free parking area.
